Globe Introduces Fiber-to-the-Room (FTTR), WiFi 7, and XGSPON Services in the Philippines

Local telecommunications company Globe has recently launched the GFiber Postpaid Plan 4999, making it the first in the Philippines to integrate XGS-PON, FTTR, and WiFi 7 technologies.

This plan promises speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps, delivering connectivity to every room while effectively addressing issues of dead spots and buffering. The XGS-PON backbone provides a 10 Gbps capacity, facilitating multi-gigabit speeds throughout the home. FTTR (Fiber-To-The-Room) utilizes dedicated fiber links to ensure consistent low-latency performance.

WiFi 7 offers ultra-fast and reliable wireless capabilities, supporting multiple 4K/8K streams, gaming, and AI applications.

The plan includes:
– 1 modem
– 2 FTTR routers
– VIP service, which entails 24-hour or same-day support, a hotline, and free repairs

Benefits of the service include seamless ultra-HD entertainment, pro-grade work and learning capabilities, and an AI-powered smart home environment. Additionally, it comes with a free annual Disney+ Premium subscription and BlastTV access.
