Oppo Confirms Find X9 Ultra Gets Massive 7,000mAh+ Battery Upgrade

Charging anxiety may soon be alleviated. Oppo executive Zhou Yibao has teased the Oppo Find X9 Ultra’s battery on Weibo, confirming it will exceed 7,000mAh. This marks a significant increase from the Find X8 Ultra’s 6,100mAh battery.

If Oppo maintains the trend seen with the X9 Pro’s 7,500mAh and X9’s 7,025mAh batteries, the X9 Ultra is expected to utilize silicon-carbon technology. This technology provides up to two days of usage and over five hours of 4K video recording in previous models.

Currently, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra’s battery is the only confirmed specification ahead of a rumored launch in Q2 2026. Reports indicate it may feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, quad 200MP+ cameras, and 100W wired charging along with 50W wireless charging, though these details are not yet official.

A battery of this size addresses a common issue with flagship phones: the need to recharge before the day ends. Activities such as gaming, streaming, and traveling no longer require constant monitoring of battery levels. Additionally, silicon-carbon technology degrades more slowly than traditional lithium batteries, allowing for better capacity retention over time.

The challenge lies in incorporating such a large battery into a phone that remains lightweight. Oppo has successfully kept the X9 and X9 Pro under 8mm thick despite their substantial batteries. If the X9 Ultra achieves the same, users can enjoy all-day battery life without the added bulk of a power bank.

For those who frequently record video or engage in heavy gaming, battery life is often more critical than specifications like camera megapixels or processor speed. A focus on battery capacity by Oppo suggests that other manufacturers may begin to prioritize user demands for longer-lasting devices.
