The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic were initially promised four years of operating system updates. Since they launched in August 2021, this update period has technically concluded. However, both models are now receiving Samsung’s One UI 8 Watch, which is based on Wear OS 6.
Currently, the update is being rolled out to Wi-Fi models in South Korea, with a firmware version ending in “JYK4.” The download size exceeds one gigabyte.
Users may experience delays in receiving the update, as gradual rollouts can take time to reach all regions. LTE watch owners may face even longer wait times.
Previously, Samsung released One UI 8 Watch for the Galaxy Watch FE, a 2024 model that is based on the 40mm Watch4.
