Samsung has announced the Top 10 finalists for its Solve for Tomorrow 2025 competition, now in its third year in the Philippines. This global initiative encourages students to leverage technology and artificial intelligence to address pressing community and environmental issues. Over 1,000 students submitted entries, with teams focusing on themes such as Environmental Sustainability, Social Change, and AI Solutions.
The finalists include innovative projects like FloodSafe Routes AI and Mangrove Health Monitor, representing various Science High Schools across the country. Each team will receive mentorship from Samsung experts to refine their proposals and develop prototypes ahead of the finals in December. The competition offers over PHP 2,000,000 in cash prizes and Samsung devices for the winning teams and their schools.
Minsu Chu, President of Samsung Electronics Philippines, expressed excitement about the growing interest in the competition, highlighting the importance of youth-driven solutions in tackling societal challenges. The event not only showcases technical skills but also fosters civic responsibility among Filipino youth, preparing them to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
