Epson debuts the TM-m30II-SL receipt printer for the Philippines’ retail market

Epson has launched a new, compact receipt printer tailored for the evolving landscape of local retail. This initiative responds to a market shift where stores are becoming smaller and adapting to mobile payments and limited space.

The retail scene in the Philippines is transforming. Establishments such as cafes, beauty salons, boutiques, and kiosks are increasingly adopting tablet-based systems and streamlined counters. This trend necessitates checkout equipment that can fit into tighter, more flexible layouts.

In light of this, Epson presents the TM-m30II-SL model, a space-efficient receipt printer designed to conserve counter space. The device features an integrated mount for tablets, contributing to a neater, less cluttered checkout environment. Its design allows it to be positioned directly against a wall or beneath a shelf, making it ideal for very limited spaces.

The printer boasts a rapid printing speed of up to 250 millimeters per second. It also incorporates paper-saving technology aimed at minimizing receipt lengths. Epson claims the printer is compatible with a broad range of tablet-based point-of-sale systems widely used today.

The company emphasizes that the Epson TM-m30II-SL is especially pertinent as retail trends shift toward smaller store formats, pop-up shops, and modular counters. The printer is designed to facilitate efficient customer flow without the need for a large, dedicated workstation.
