HONOR has confirmed that the next-generation X9 Series smartphone will soon be available in the Philippines, expected around the new year.
This will mark the fourth smartphone in the HONOR X9 Series, following the HONOR X9a released in 2023, the HONOR X9b in 2024, and now the upcoming HONOR X9c. The previous models gained popularity due to their durable features and strong specifications at competitive prices. HONOR’s effective marketing strategies have also contributed to making the X9 Series a widely discussed topic in the country.
HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng mentioned, “When we launched HONOR X9a 5G, we had zero expectations. However, it exceeded all expectations. We didn’t let the success get to our heads; we saw it as beginner’s luck. We then released HONOR X9b 5G, which also became a massive success. Now with HONOR X9c 5G, we’re aiming to surpass everything we’ve achieved so far.”
The X9 series is known for its durability, having undergone extensive drop tests. This year, the X9c set a new benchmark by surviving a drop from a helicopter, showcasing its exceptional toughness.
Cheng added, “It’s challenging to outdo the past three generations of the HONOR X9 series, but with our technology and talent, we find it to be a rewarding challenge. We are eager for everyone to see what we have in store.”
Notably, 264 participants dropped their HONOR X9c 5G devices simultaneously, earning HONOR recognition in the Guinness World Records for “The Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Drop Test Simultaneously.”
