Oppo has launched the Pad Air5 in China after a series of promotional teasers, including an official unboxing video.
The Oppo Pad Air5 features the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra SoC, along with the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. It is available in both Wi-Fi and cellular versions.
The tablet has a 12.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2800×1980 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It supports a peak brightness of 900 nits.
For cameras, the Pad Air5 includes an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera, both capable of 1080p video recording.
The device packs a 10,050mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging and runs on ColorOS 16, featuring several AI functionalities.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, 5G, and a USB Type-C port. The Oppo Pad Air5 comes in Starlight Powder and Space Gray color variants, and there is a Soft Light version that features an anti-glare coating on the display.
In terms of pricing, the Wi-Fi variant starts at CNY 1,899 ($270) for the 8GB/128GB model. The 8GB/256GB variant is priced at CNY 2,199 ($315), while the 12GB/256GB option costs CNY 2,499 ($355). The 5G variant is listed for CNY 2,399 ($340) in the 8GB/128GB configuration.
The Soft Light variant is available in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB models priced at CNY 2,399 ($340) and CNY 2,699 ($385), respectively. The tablet is set to go on sale in China starting December 31.
