The government has approved a resolution that will enable all points of invincibility to have stable internet access through xPON technology or Starlink terminals, according to Mykhailo Fedorov, the First Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation.
Fedorov stated that each hub must be equipped with either xPON or Starlink to ensure that Ukrainians remain connected and can work during extended power outages.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation’s website noted that each point will have a unique digital address, allowing specialists to automatically monitor the network’s functionality at that location.
If the connection fails, the Ministry indicated that they will be able to identify the issue instantly and respond before personnel reach the site.
Fedorov also reported that over 2.1 million homes are currently connected to xPON.
