Samsung has announced the One UI 8.5 beta program, which began earlier this month with the release of the first beta build in select countries. The rollout has now expanded to include India and Poland, with other regions receiving the new build labeled ZYLH.
The second beta includes several updates:
– Dual recording and single take mode can now be enabled through the Camera Assistant setting.
– Improvements have been made to the initialization of quick panel settings during boot.
– Adjustments have been made to the quick panel menu screen icon spacing and location.
– Photos organized into gallery group folders will no longer be moved to the first album page.
– The stuttering issue when accessing the More View menu during calls has been addressed.
– Improvements have been made to rebooting issues that occurred intermittently.
– The volume up button will now function correctly under certain conditions.
– Sound issues during calls with a Bluetooth carkit connection have been resolved.
– Issues causing forced termination while using multiple third-party apps have been improved.
– Software stability has been enhanced through updates to various apps, including the camera.
This build is approximately 1.12GB and includes the December 2025 security patch. One UI 8.5 is anticipated to launch with the Galaxy S26 series early next year, followed by releases for older devices. More beta versions are expected before the final release.
