Powerful 7,000mAh Battery and Additional Features

The mid-range smartphone market is preparing for a new entrant. Realme has confirmed several key features for its upcoming Realme 16 Pro, which is set to debut on January 6. Although the “Pro” designation usually suggests a lower tier compared to a “Plus” model, the 16 Pro appears to be closing that gap with hardware that approaches flagship standards.

The most notable feature of the device is its “Titan Battery,” which includes a substantial 7,000mAh cell. To optimize this capacity, Realme has incorporated an “AI Long-life Battery Chip” and features like Bypass Charging. These technologies aim to reduce heat during demanding tasks such as gaming.

The visual experience is equally impressive. The 16 Pro features a 1.5K resolution AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and boasts a peak brightness of 6,500 nits, ensuring readability even in bright sunlight.

In terms of photography, the device offers a 200MP LumaColor main camera system using the Samsung HP5 sensor. While the Pro+ model includes an exclusive periscope telephoto lens, the standard Pro provides significant zoom capabilities through a “five golden focal length” kit and HyperRAW Algorithm, enabling lossless zoom without the bulk of a dedicated lens.

Design is also a focus for Realme, which has collaborated with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa for a new “Urban Wild” aesthetic available in colors like Master Gold and Pebble Grey, with an exclusive Orchid Purple variant for India. Despite its large battery, the phone retains a sleek profile and features an IP69 rating, providing robust protection against dust and water.

Internally, the Realme 16 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-MAX 5G chipset, achieving an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 970,000. The device includes an “AirFlow” vapor chamber cooling system to mitigate thermal throttling.

On the software front, the phone will launch with Android 16 based on Realme UI 7.0, featuring “Next AI” tools, including Google Gemini integration and AI Recording for enhanced note-taking.

The full reveal is scheduled for January 6, 2026, when Realme will announce official pricing, memory options, and detailed specifications for the Realme 16 Pro. The device is expected to be available through major online retailers and the official Realme store immediately following the event.
