The new HONOR Magic8 Pro has made its way into the top five of DxOMark’s mobile camera rankings, outperforming the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and HUAWEI Pura 70.
The HONOR Magic8 Pro achieved an impressive score of 170 points in Photo and 154 points in Video, giving it an average score of 164 points and a Gold 2026 rating. Other devices in the top five include the vivo X200 Ultra with 167 points, iPhone 17 Pro with 168 points, OPPO Find X8 Ultra with 168 points, and HUAWEI Pura 80 Ultra with 175 points.
According to DxOMark, the HONOR Magic8 Pro excels in exposure accuracy, featuring a wide dynamic range for photos and videos. It effectively preserves detail at long telephoto ranges and maintains mostly neutral white balance with low noise. Overall, it provides a comprehensive camera experience characterized by strong exposure performance and pleasing color rendering.
Despite some limitations in video consistency, low-light performance, and autofocus reliability in complex scenes, the device remains a versatile camera option for many users.
The HONOR Magic8 Pro features a 50MP f/1.6 main camera with a 1/1.13-inch sensor and OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide camera, and a 200MP f/2.6 1/1.4-inch telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
DxO has not yet assessed the device’s 50MP selfie camera with 3D assistance. Other recent camera-centric flagships, such as the vivo X300 Pro, OPPO Find X8 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Mate 80 Pro Max, have not been included in this list.
