Xiaomi has introduced the Xiaomi Watch 5 alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

The smartwatch features a 47mm stainless steel case, available in Black or Silver, with three strap options: leather Brown, metal Silver, and rubber Green. It showcases a 1.54-inch AMOLED display with a 2.6mm bezel, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and peak brightness of 1500 nits. Both the display and heart rate sensor are protected by synthetic sapphire glass for added durability.

The device operates on a dual-chip architecture, combining a 4nm Snapdragon W5 wearable processor with a BES2800 low-power chip. This setup aims to optimize performance and efficiency, with the Snapdragon W5 handling demanding tasks while the BES2800 manages background operations and health monitoring.

Xiaomi claims the battery life can reach up to six days in performance mode and up to 18 days in power-saving mode. Health features include ECG analysis, continuous heart rate and SpO₂ monitoring, sleep tracking, stress detection, and one-tap health scans. A new EMG muscle signal sensor allows users to control calls, media, and connected devices using finger gestures.

The watch supports over 150 sports modes, features guided workouts, offline maps, route navigation, and track-back assistance for outdoor activities. Certain models include eSIM support for standalone 4G connectivity, enabling calls, messaging, and mobile payments through platforms like WeChat and Alipay. Additionally, the watch allows for music streaming, navigation via Baidu Maps, and access to an app store.

The Xiaomi Watch 5 is compatible with Xiaomi’s HyperOS and includes the Super XiaoAi voice assistant. It supports contact-based charging and multiple strap options, including fluoroelastomer, leather, and a 3D-printed titanium band.

The pricing for the Xiaomi Watch 5 is as follows: the standard version is priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately PHP 16.7K) and the eSIM model at CNY 2,299 (around PHP 19.2K). The watch is currently available in China, with no announcements regarding global availability yet.
