Just weeks after the release of the nova 14 Series in the Philippines, HUAWEI introduced the nova 15 Ultra in China.
The nova 15 Ultra features a new “dual-ring” design on the back and has an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. It is offered in several colors: Dark Green, Purple, Zero-Degree White, and Fantasy Black.
The device boasts a 6.84-inch LTPO OLED display that is protected by Kunlun glass, with a refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz, a resolution of 2856 x 1320, and a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. The front sports a pill-shaped punch-hole for the 50MP primary selfie camera and a 1.5MP multispectral sensor.
Inside, the nova 15 Ultra is powered by the new Kirin 9010S chip, representing an 18 percent performance improvement over the Kirin 8020 used in the nova 14 Pro. Storage options begin at 256GB and extend to 512GB and 1TB. The device is equipped with a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports USB-C 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
In terms of camera capabilities, the nova 15 Ultra is equipped with three 50MP RYYB sensors. The main camera features a variable aperture of f/1.4-4.0 with optical image stabilization (OIS), alongside a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 118-degree field of view and a 50MP telephoto periscope sensor that offers 3.7x optical zoom.
Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth 6.0, and GNSS, with additional satellite connectivity. The phone operates on HarmonyOS 6.0 out of the box and measures 163 x 78 x 6.8mm, weighing 209 grams.
