Huawei announced several new products in China, including the nova 15 series and the Watch 5 10th Anniversary edition. The company also unveiled the MatePad 11.5 (2026) model during the launch event.
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2026) retains many features from the 2025 model, debuting in July, but it includes a different processor and some minor improvements. It features an 11.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2456×1600 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. There is also a Soft Light Edition available with an anti-glare coating.
The Soft Light variant is powered by the Kirin T82 SoC, while the standard model uses the Kirin T82B chipset. The tablet runs on HarmonyOS 5.1, which includes several AI features and Huawei’s AI Health Learning 2 system.
For photography, the device has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. It is equipped with a 10,100mAh battery that supports 40W fast charging. Additional specifications include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and quad speakers.
The MatePad 11.5 (2026) is available in Deep Space Gray, Frost Silver, Feather Sand Purple, and Island Blue. Pre-orders are currently open in China, with official sales set to begin on December 25.
The starting price for the tablet is CNY 1,799 ($255) for the standard 8GB/128GB Wi-Fi version. The Soft Light Edition comes in various configurations, priced at CNY 2,099 ($295) for the 8GB/128GB model, CNY 2,299 ($325) for the 8GB/256GB option, and CNY 2,799 ($395) for the 12GB/256GB variant.
