Epson Philippines Corporation has continued its environmental initiatives with a tree-planting event at La Mesa Eco Park in Quezon City.
The company planted over 200 native tree seedlings to support its goal of preserving Metro Manila’s green spaces and maintaining ecological health.
Employees contributed by planting 221 seedlings of specific species aimed at enhancing biodiversity and restoring areas impacted by urban development. Masako Kusama, President and Director of Epson Philippines, emphasized the significance of these efforts, stating that each seedling signifies a collective responsibility to safeguard local natural resources.
This event followed a previous tree-planting activity in July where 150 seedlings were planted in the same area. La Mesa Eco Park is one of the last forested regions in Metro Manila, playing a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance of the area.
Through initiatives like this, Epson is actively working towards its sustainability goals, encouraging employees to engage in efforts that foster a resilient future for local communities.
