Samsung is said to be developing a new wide-screen foldable device targeted for 2026.

If recent reports are accurate, Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone is set to feature unusually wide dimensions with a wide inner display. Notably, Samsung is also reportedly working on a similar “wide” foldable to compete with Apple.

A new report indicates that Samsung is developing a foldable device featuring a 7.6-inch OLED inner screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio. This foldable is expected to be unveiled next year and will adopt a passport-style design.

The screen dimensions and aspect ratio are said to be comparable to those of the anticipated iPhone Fold, which is rumored to have a 7.58-inch inner display.

The report also highlights that Samsung’s upcoming wide foldable will include a 5.4-inch cover screen and is expected to support 25W wireless charging.

A recent leak featured images of Samsung’s rumored “wide” foldable, which were shared as part of a survey focused on foldable form factors.
