Next-Generation RAM Modules to Feature Triple Fan Cooling Systems

As RAM prices continue to rise, Origin Code has announced its new Vortex DDR5 RAM kits, featuring integrated cooling fans. This innovative design is not common among larger manufacturers, but it is expected to come with a high price tag for consumers. Origin Code has not yet disclosed specific pricing, making it unclear how this product will compare to the already expensive RAM market, especially as companies like Micron withdraw from the consumer sector.

The addition of a triple cooling fan system is unlikely to reduce costs. However, users can customize their setups to enhance cooling by directing larger fans at their RAM. Origin Code asserts that its system will provide superior cooling performance.

Origin Code plans to showcase the Vortex RAM at CES 2026, possibly revealing pricing at that time. According to reports, the Vortex DDR5 RAM offers 39.8% better cooling than standard passive systems.

The triple fan module can be attached to the RAM kit and seems to use magnets for attachment, though the specifics of this connection are not entirely clear.

The Vortex DDR5 RAM will be available in several configurations, including a kit with four 48GB sticks for a total of 192GB. There will also be options for 32GB, 48GB, and 96GB kits, as well as a 256GB option made up of four 64GB sticks. Customers should anticipate high costs for these products.
