Honor is preparing to enter the gaming phone market with the launch of the Win series, scheduled for December 26. We had an opportunity to preview the device ahead of its official announcement.
A standout feature of the Honor Win is its impressive 10,000mAh battery. The phone is expected to deliver strong gaming performance, supported by an active cooling fan for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It will also feature 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The company claims an AnTuTu v10 score exceeding 4.4 million points, although we have not yet verified this.
The Honor Win boasts an IP69K rating, ensuring excellent dust and water resistance, despite the inclusion of a fan. It will also come equipped with a dual speaker setup.
The fan is subtly integrated into the camera island, making it less noticeable. Similarly, the large battery does not significantly increase the phone’s weight or bulk compared to devices with smaller batteries.
The battery utilizes Honor’s proprietary silicon-carbon anode technology and is named after Qinghai Lake, China’s largest salt lake. The phone features a control layout similar to the Magic8 Pro, with all buttons located on the right side, including a volume rocker, power button, and a likely camera control key.
On the back, the Honor Win has three cameras alongside the Ultra Fan. While full specifications are not yet available, the camera app indicates options for wide, ultrawide, and a 3x optical zoom, with a 6x digital zoom capability.
Honor will officially unveil the Win series on December 26, which includes the flagship Honor Win and an Honor Win RT model with one fewer camera but still featuring a built-in fan. The Win is expected to be available in White, Black, and Blue. Further details regarding its availability outside China are anticipated in the coming weeks.
