Meet Google Labs CC: The AI Assistant That Emails You Every Morning

Google aims to transform your morning routine with its new experimental AI agent, CC. Instead of navigating through Gmail, Calendar, and Drive, CC sends a single email summarizing everything you need to know.

Powered by Gemini models, CC delivers a daily “Your Day Ahead” briefing directly to your inbox. This email consolidates your schedule, tasks, bills, appointments, and important updates into one easy-to-read format, functioning like a personal assistant that highlights key information before your day begins.

Interacting with CC is straightforward; you simply reply to the email without needing to open another app or navigate through menus. Google states that you can guide CC by responding or sending custom requests, allowing it to learn about your preferences and remember tasks.

CC is part of Google’s broader initiative toward “agentic” AI, which anticipates user needs. The company has been integrating Gemini across its services, enhancing features like Gmail summaries and Calendar event detection. Unlike voice assistants such as Siri or Alexa, which respond to voice commands, CC learns from your email replies to provide personalized suggestions. However, it currently operates only through email, limiting real-time interaction.

To access CC, users must have a consumer Google account, be at least 18 years old in the US or Canada, and hold a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription. The feature is available on a waitlist basis.

For busy parents managing school communications or remote workers overwhelmed by calendar invites, CC could simplify life by identifying missed bills and upcoming deadlines.
