Dreame, a Chinese technology company, is set to enter the smartphone market with the launch of its first device, the Dreame E1. Known for its smart home and cleaning products, the company announced earlier this year its plans to expand into smartphones. Recently, details about the upcoming phone have surfaced online.
The Dreame E1 has been spotted in EU Energy Label records under the model number W5110. A user manual associated with this model has also emerged, providing insights into the device. It is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, although specifics about the screen resolution and refresh rate have not been disclosed.
The smartphone will include a triple rear camera setup, highlighted by a 108MP primary wide lens, along with a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. While the camera specifications are not particularly remarkable, the manual also includes a design sketch that shows an additional decorative lens element. On the front, the device may have a 50MP selfie camera.
The Dreame E1 is anticipated to come with an under-display fingerprint scanner for security. It is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance and is said to have a 5000mAh battery with 33W wired charging support. Notably, the battery is described as user-replaceable in the EU listings, although the manual advises against removal, which raises some questions.
Additionally, the Dreame E1 is expected to support 5G connectivity, NFC, and feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is becoming increasingly rare in newer models. Currently, the available information suggests that the device will be positioned as an entry-level or mid-range smartphone.
