OpenAI is expanding its ChatGPT app ecosystem, with Apple Music set to be one of its major partners. Fidji Simo, OpenAI’s CEO of Applications, announced that various applications, including Adobe, Airtable, Clay, Lovable, OpenTable, Replit, and Salesforce, will be able to submit their apps for review.
The integration of Apple Music into ChatGPT is expected to function similarly to Spotify’s app. Users may be able to issue prompts like “Apple Music, make a playlist for my party this Friday,” enabling ChatGPT to create playlists or suggest tracks instantly.
Apple Music requires an active subscription priced at USD 10.99 per month, with a one-month free trial available. OpenAI has not yet provided a specific launch date for the Apple Music integration in ChatGPT, but further details are anticipated soon.
