Apple has released the first public betas of iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 for participants in its beta program, following a developer-focused release yesterday.
iOS 26.3 introduces a simplified method for transferring data to an Android device for users making the switch. This feature is also being implemented by Google on Android.
A new Notification Forwarding feature has been added for third-party wearables in the EU, allowing notifications to be sent from an iPhone to compatible devices. This change is in response to EU regulations, ensuring users can receive notifications on third-party wearables. However, Apple’s current setup does not permit notifications to appear on an Apple Watch when Notification Forwarding is enabled.
Additionally, new weather-themed wallpapers have been introduced in a dedicated Weather section within the wallpaper gallery. This change follows the separation of the previous Weather & Astronomy section into distinct Weather and Astronomy categories.
