Sony PlayStation has celebrated its 30th anniversary by launching a collaborative watch collection with the brand ANICORN. This release is not standard merchandise but rather a collectible item designed for long-term wear and preservation.
The highlight of the collection is the First PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch, which is limited to 300 units globally. Its rarity is expected to attract collectors. The watch features an automatic mechanical movement, a characteristic associated with traditional watchmaking and durability.
Design elements are inspired by the original PS1 console, including a dial with embossed PlayStation face buttons and hands shaped like the Start and Select buttons. The matte gray case finish and overall shape reflect the console’s industrial design, while the case back is inspired by the optical drive.
In addition to the mechanical watch, the collection includes two more accessible Play Symbol quartz watches, named Dark Mode and Light Mode, which feature floating symbols that shift position on the wrist.
This partnership signifies the growing integration of gaming culture into lifestyle and collector markets. The collection will be available exclusively on ANICORN’s website starting December 19, 2025, with prices ranging from $250 to $780.
