Apple watchOS 26.2 released with refined Sleep Score classifications

Apple has launched watchOS 26.2, featuring an improved Sleep Score classification and a revised score range.

The new Sleep Score classification with the updated score range is as follows: Very Low (0-40), Low (41-60), OK (61-80), High (81-95), and Very High (96-100).

Alongside the updated Sleep Score classification, watchOS 26.2 introduces “Enhanced Safety Alerts,” which can inform users about imminent threats like natural disasters, floods, and other emergencies. These alerts will provide “detailed information such as a map of affected areas and links to further safety guidance,” available exclusively in the US.

This update also includes bug fixes, notably resolving an issue in the Music app that occasionally prevents it from moving to the next track.

If you have an Apple Watch compatible with the watchOS 26.2 update, you can install it by navigating to the General > Software Update section of the paired iPhone’s Apple Watch app. Ensure that your iPhone is running iOS 26.2.
